What you'll do:

As an Embedded Systems Manager, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the sprints schedule for all projects requiring engineering support.  The LabVIEW team plays an important role in developing and supporting software applications for Innovari’s projects. The Embedded Systems Manager will be primarily involved in managing the LabVIEW Embedded team in writing, maintaining, debugging and modifying code for new or existing equipment in a laboratory environment within our technology center.

  • Manage the sprints for Design, Development and maintenance applications on NI LabVIEW platform
  • Experience in LabVIEW Real-time/ FPGA is required
  • Experience in LabVIEW Object Oriented Design
  • Experience in Actor Framework is required
  • Validate designs through design reviews, product testing, and detailed analysis.
  • Provide technical documentation to relevant departments to support the development of documents (i.e. User manuals, application notes, release notes)
  • Manage code in repository and adapt source code control techniques evaluate new technologies that will improve product performance, and reduce development time and costs.
  • Collaborate/ coordinate with cross functional teams in Central engineering
  • Adhere to Innovari’s standard practices for LabVIEW development
  • Implement unit test cases and fully integrated tests for LabVIEW application
  • Understanding of common communication protocols, internet protocols and working experience with general test data acquisition, control, sensor hardware – DAQmx, Serial, TCP/IP, DDE, CAN, Ethernet etc.
  • Manage the Team of embedded NI developers.
  • Continuously improve the workflow and process for the embedded team.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in computer science, electrical, or computer engineering and proven strong coding skills in C/C++
  • 5-10 years of experience in embedded systems management
  • Experience with embedded communications protocols a plus (DMX512, CAN, UART, Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet, DALI)
  • Experience debugging microprocessor firmware.
  • National Instruments Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD), and has Actor Framework experience
